Due to conflicting information from UMAX, Newer Technology is recommending the use of EDO memory. UMAX’s website says either FPM or EDO will work. Their manual says only EDO will work. The machine that the text you are reading is being composed on is a C600 with a 64 MB FPG DIMM installed.
Install a NewerTECH MAXpowr G3 and have one of the fastest systems anywhere. For minimum bucks you’ll gain maximum speed. GURU has more details in the MAXpowr G3 pane in the Power Macintosh pull down menu.
Upgraded with one DIMM at a time.
The 16 MB of soldered memory is interleaved.
The optional E100 card provides both Ultra Wide SCSI and 100 baseT. Ultra Wide SCSI provides 16-bit wide, 40MB/sec data bus. 100baseT provides 100Mbits/sec data transfer rates, while still supporting 10baseT and/or AppleTalk.
